Airbag 94 850

Post by johnsykas »

I own two identical 850's one hit on the side and totaled, The other is whole but the air bags deployed in a small fender bender.
How can I take the two air bag assemblies from the one car and put in the other?
There seems to be little info on this.
I already own the ir bags and do not wish to buy something I already own just for the labor to install

I mess with a bunch of stuff on my 850, but airbags is one area I would pay for the labor. They are extremely dangerous because they're charged to deploy in 1/100th of a second or some unworldly fraction. That takes lots of energy, and I'd hate to think what would happen if you're working on them in close proximity when one goes off.

That's my opinion. :?

Where would I find a professional to switvh the airbags over? I can move the cars easily if I could find someone.

A Volvo tech at a dealer would be one... an independent Volvo repair shop would be another...
