V70,2004, Side mirror de-icer kaput!

Post by sony2000 »

I woke up to 1/4" of ice on the car, only to remember the heating element in the right side mirror hasn't worked since I bought the car used. I did look for the fuse location in the operators manual back then, but on a second search today, I've concluded that it's not listed! Could there only be a relay? Did it get lost in translation (French)? Most likely its amongst the dash fuses. :?

On the UK fuse list #27 in the passenger compartment box is listed as: Central locking; door open warning lamps; electric heated mirrors; electric windows and door mirror lamps. The US fuse list shows #27 to be blank.

However, both lists show #35 and #36 to cover the left hand and right hand respectively of the same items. Of course, if the other bits are working you are probably looking at more than a fuse.
