difficulty to start car first time of the day

Hi all
Hope someone here can give me a tip..My car ( 2001 S40 T4) has every single day to start the 1st time in the morning ( ie when the engine is cold - I do live in Brazil so temperatures are around 18-30c ). During the rest of the day when the engine is hot the car fires up immediattly on the 1st crank, in the morning I do have to try 2 or 3 times until it fires...

After the engine is running there is no problem at all.. It runs smooth withouth any failures...

any ideias ? Fuel pressure regulators ? Spark Plugs ? Where shoud I start ?

Welcome to MVS!
I was going to say spark plugs and cap and rotor and then wires...how long has it been since these were replaced? Start with the cheap stuff first (plugs). Use Volvo plugs if you can...check your owner's manual to make sure of the plug gap. If that doesn't do it then it may be time for the ignition wires...then the cap and then the rotor (or does your car have coil packs at the plugs? If so, then you won't have wires, cap and rotor...so just start with spark plugs. Do you get any trouble codes from your computer....check engine light on?
