Passenger Door Open Message

My 2002 S60 was hit by an uninsured motorist. I needed to replace both passenger side doors. My husband replaced the backdoor with no issues. Front door took more work, but is now fixed. Somehow, we are not aligned. The interior lights are staying on and my message tells me the door is not closed. Any ideas? It lines up and closes smoothly, but something is not right.
