S80 2002 Bouncing left side

I have a 2002 S80 that is bouncing. This is happening when the left wheels go over a rough surface. It is also making a rattling sound on the same side. Could this be a shock or sway bar problem or something else?

To me it sounds like a shock has gone bad.
