Easy 850 dash fix.

So after reviewing the "850 dashboard repair" in the repair database I decided there had to be another way since the way that is described is very intense. I have made an L bracket that secures to the right side of the dash (the part up against the door) and to the windshield pillar. I have pics if anyone would like to see. I can also weld one up ($25) for anyone who would like to give it a try. Well worth it and it only takes about an hour to install.

I also made a rear strut brace to go by the spare tire. I am willing to take orders and fab some up for $40 + shipping.

Let's see some pictures...and your installation descriptions!
If these are a good solution, I'd say you would be able to sell them in our classified section and MVS could support it as a "MVS First"!
To begin with, I'd put these in the repair database and link to your ad.

most definately.
I replace the dash in my 2000 because all the mounting tabs had completely disintegrated. I got a used assembly from volvo and saab dismantlers, but they had to pull three dashes before they got one that wasn't cracked. And they can tell just by looking through the windshield if they're really bad, so they don't even bother with those. Point is...a lot of 'em break. It would be nice if volvo made a repair kit like they do for other parts that fail on every single car..like the tailgate.

So I figured out a bracket that attaches to the passenger side (I guess whichever side or both are broken) of the dash between the dash and the door. It fixed the big sqeeks in my dash and eliminated my constant want to murder my dash. If anybody els would like to give it a try (sure beats some other two day fixes that are posted) let me know and I can ship a bracket to you.

Good prototype...my own opinion is that it's going to have to look more finished than that and the screws are going to have to look like they're actually screwed in flush (not at an angle and half way) for anyone to "bite" on this new product.
