96 Platinum Edition 850 Sedan Parting Out - reluctantly

Believe it or not, I have found another platinum good for parts. I bought it and am in the process of stripping it. Really hate to do it seeming as I now have 2 Platinum sedans and a wagon out of 1500, but I am not sending it to the crusher without helping others live on. I am keeping alot of the stuff that I need for my wagon and the rims, but try me. I can do some trading for stuff I need - namely black or dark grey OEM rubber floormats/cargo mat for an 850 wagon, a drivers door leather insert for same, maybe a 3rd seat, few other things. Let me know what you need. Anyone who is close to New Hampshire or Maine and wants to put it back together, I will take a trade for your beater 850 parts wagon with a decent black interior, and will consider leaving the rims on it since that is a quarter of having a platinum is all about. This one is 230K miles and runs and drives good (smokes but boosts solid - needs PCV system serviced), interior is mostly ok, just has a ton of dents - mostly from me swapping my dented panels onto this one. Check engine light is not on, ABS/Tracs light is on (needs soldering work).

Look under the speaker cone...inside the dash. On my old 850 both tweeters fell out and were magnetically stuck to some metal inside. I just glued them back on and they were good as new.

What rims did the platinums come with?

These were the Persus rims that came only on the 850 Platinum painted with a "Champagne" finish (volvo wheel paint code 933). They came in silver on some V70 awd's and I have seen them once when a V70 R was fitted with 16" rims instead of 17's

Correct me if i'm wrong but didnt the platinums come with a sport suspension option. Better springs and two sway bars. If this is the case please let me know and I'll swoop those off your hands.

And don't people look at the dates of these old bumped up threads?
