How much power does an early ninties 240 GL make? GLE? Are the engines in all the RWD volvos of the ninties the same ie 240 GLE = 740 GLE = 940 GLE??? etc.
How about the 960s how much power do they produce? I'm in the market for another Volvo, I've had an '81 240DL and a 740 GLE. The GLE had respectable power but the DL was pretty slow. I've been thinking a nice low KM mid to late ninties 960 would be nice but I'm pretty much open to anything with good power. How are the 6 cylinder motors for reliability?

In general, it is the same engine in 240 = 740 = 940 series. DL use to be standard and GLE or GLT has always been more powerful. Low pressaure turbo is very common in 940-series.
