Coil springs on 2000 S40

Apparently I have 2 broken coil springs on my car. 1 in the front and 1 in the rear. I am trying to get this done at a dealership and I have gotten prices ranging from $1000 - $1500 dollars. Can anyone offer me any advice to getting this done. I have never had to get something like this done on a car and I am going to go ahead and say its safe to assume that this is not a Do-It-Yourself weekend project. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!

Can we assume that the springs the dealer will fit are gold plated, if not pure gold?

Get a price from an independent shop. You do not need a dealer to fit springs.

The B&G or H&R springs here are very decent...I would change all of them: http://www.shox.com/appguide/shoxshop/p ... isplay.php Call them if you have questions.
