Sunroof Question??

I recently purchased a 2000 S80. The previous owner said the sunroof became stuck and shattered. He replaced the whole assembly, but it doesn't work. He was told that Volvo must reprogram the car to accept the different sunroof. Is this true? Thanks

If you just changed out the glass, you should be fine. If it was the motor, then I don't know, but maybe so. You'll need to lock and unlock the door with a key from the outside a couple of times to activate it (make sure the fuse is good), then do a calibration:

Does your alarm work OK? If the siren module goes out (quite common), the sunroof will stop working since they are interconnected.
