I see a couple of puzzling electrical 'situations' in this vehicle just new to me.
When I put on the defrost button, all the lights in the lower dash panel went out -- any reason for this?
When I shut down the vehicle, and open the door to exit, the message centre reads: Rear 12 volt outlet in use. Any reason for this? Only displays this message on shutdown, and exit. (It does have a hitch and the electrical connector.)
Thanks for any suggestions on these.

Have you check for any blown fuses?
