Welcome to MVS.
You may be running into the same thing as some V70 and S60 owners...some cars have them a couple of feet up under the passenger side of the car, attached to a clamp (some under the plastic lining for the wheel well) while some have them actually built into the gas tank... I hope you find it under your wheel well if it's not readily visible. Otherwise, it's a very huge deal to have to get into your gas tank and I'm not even sure if the one in there is replaceable.

MIJ is correct some S80s have it in one place, others in the tank; if you wouldn't mind giving us the first 8 characters of your VIN, it'll enable one of us to look up your engine and emission code and determine where the fuel filter is on your car.marct611 wrote:Ive looked and cannot seem to find the fuel filter. Hi
Thanks for the replies. The first eight of the VIN are : YV1TS91Z
I appreciate the help. The car now has about 115k on it and I am just tired of getting squeezed by the dealer and repair shops for repairs I can easily do at a huge savings.

Your engine code is 91 (signifying B6294T, though we suspected that from the 'T6') and emission code is Z (type X6: USA Federal emissions/CDN). Therefore, the filter is on the RH side of the car nearby the fuel tank bolted to the underbody. The tightening torque on the bolt is 25Nm.marct611 wrote:Hi
