Optional Tire Sizes '02 V70 T5

Post by RichBM »

Will 245/45/17 tires fit on a 2002 V70 T5? I know there will be slight rubbing at the wheel lock, but will there be clearance issues with the strut. The car has not been lowered. I ask because I currently have some Bridgestone RE-01s on hold at Tire Rack (they were $78/ea). Thanks in advance.

NO
That is too large a tire.
235/45/17's is the optional tire size and yes they will rub a bit.
Use a 5 mm spacer and most will not rub. Most means it depends on the actual tire brand and wheel offset of the wheel you are using.
