2001 V40 - Problem with reseating the calipher in rear
Currently replacing the pads and rotor on V40. The front brake job went smoothly, but having problems with the rear brakes.
Can't seem to get the calipher back in place - just doesn't want to sit properly. Need ideas, opinions, help please.

The rear calipers on the S/V40 usually need a special tool to wind the piston back in. Have you managed to get the piston fully home?

Yes, we completed the job, but the back caliphers were really difficult. Also, wasn't able to put a wire spring (coil) back in place on the passenger rear, which I believe servers the emergency brake. What is the special tool needed?

Good to know you did the job.
The piston tool is in the attached but I have found with a little 'make do and mend' it is not really needed. The brake wear indicator is also not needed if you, like me, check your brake pads regularly.
