Geartronic Transmission problems.

I have an '02 V70 T5 with the Geartronic xsmsn. Lately on the first start in the morning, it takes anywhere from 30 sec to a few mins for the gear display on the dash and the light by the shifter to illuminate. If I shift prior to the display coming on there is a delayed or hard engagement. Is this a known issue with these xsmsns? I enquired at the dealer and the service rep said he had never heard of a problem like that. Any info would be appreciated.

There was a problem with the 01 transmissions you probably know about. Not sure when they fixed it, but sometime by 02. It was mainly a software issue that cause the trans to shift into neutral at a stop, and did it so it wore out the trans prematurely.
