2000 S80 fan problem

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2000 S80 fan problem

Post by litalicious »

I just purchased a used Volvo s80 with 100,000 miles 2/21/09, it runs great and all but just yesterday I noticed that when I turn the car off the fan runs like maybe its trying to cool the car down. It runs for about 5-10 minutes and the headlight on the passenger side looks like it has been sweating or something. Could this be a problem with the radiator or something?, help please.

I just took it the local Volvo dealership to have it serviced and they reported no problems with it except the alarm needs a siren, which they told me was about $ 400 to replace. I would like to purchase it online if possible and have them install it, any suggestion of where to get it from?

Someone posted about replacing the siren itself so do a search for it. Your car's fan is suppose to stay on for awhile after you turn your engine off (depending)....but not 10 minutes...you might want to time it.
