key-how do you replace the battery in key?

Post by ben8775 »

My remote key no longer works in remote function. the manuel says nothing about it having a battery [as with my other car]. i assume it does. how to replace it? Or is something else wrong?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

As your car is a 2003 I am assuming it is the S40 and not the 240 so I shall move this to the correct forum.

The only information I can find is that the remote for 2003+ S/V40s does have an internal button battery. Unfortunately, I can't find any instructions on replacing it.

You may get more replies in the correct forum.
