Oil Pressure lost

Volvo S80 2.4 20v 109,000 miles
Lost oil pressure whilst on the motorway, advised to stop etc. Called for rescue and was recovered to home address. The engine ran fine from cold for about 20 minutes before the oil pressure failed again. I decided to drop the oil, and flush with a detergent oil cleaner, after refilling with a good quality brand the engine now appears to run without the subsequent pressure loss.

I would like to fit a pressure gauge to monitor the oil pressure.
Does anyone know what pressures to expect from a normal engine?

Engine cold at 800/850 rpm - 1 bar.
Engine at 100C at 4000rpm - 3.5 bar.
