850 '96 A/C compressor

Hmmmmm......I'm watching with some interest. My 850 turbo wagon just started rumbling under the hood, a noise not associated with the engine and does not necessarily increase with rpm.......a volvo mechanic said it could be the compressor going south.....it's more of low grumbling sound, like serious grinding going on. Don't want to mess with this thread tho tengu, so I'll watch and see where you go with this

If it's pressed on you might be screwed. You'd have to remove the compressor. At that point, you might as well change it out and not bother with the clutch and pulley
