'94 850 broken turn signal/cruise lever

Post by principemc »

My turn signal lever broke off from the steering column and now hangs by wires. Any idea how to replace? I took the column cover off and I cannot see how to disconnect the cruise control wiring that travels all the way through the handle. Please help!!!!

Also, if anyone has a spare lever, email me.

Easily repaired by making new metal rod to replace the original weak pot metal, or replace whole switch assembly ($135 or so, but probably easier in the long run). You need a torx driver set with a t-25 tip that fits on a 1/4 in drive ratchet (to remove the switch body). The plastic cowling comes off with two different sized small torx drive screws located on the bottom side.
