My 1995 850 is nearly finished, no compression in cylinder 5. Instead of sinking $2K+ into it, I'm considering purchasing a 2005 S80 T6 Premier for a very reasonable price. I just test drove it and overall it was good, there was a little vibration around 60 mph and some pull to the left when accelerating.
The dealer has agreed to let me take the vehicle to a third party mechanic to look it over. Is there anything else I should request the mechanic look for?
I haven't seen any posts regarding 2005's, probably because they're just now leaving manufacturer warranty. Does anyone know how reliable the 2005's have been, or where I can find that info?
Other nitpick:
The rear bumper is missing a little square on the lower right hand side. What is the purpose of the punch out square, and is it a part I can purchase separate from the bumper, and hopefully, repair?
