Cooling Fan not working on 2000 C70 LPT Convertible

have a 2000 Volvo s80 T6 and the a/c just stopped working. I just had a new rack and pinion put in ($800 including labor). Now its the a/c. It seems one thing after another with this car. I was told by one mechanic that there is a crack or leak in the condenser. Is this normal? And why is the dryer ice cold?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

This for all of people having trouble with your electric fans. You might want to try checking the ground wire on the fan itself, last year I almost pulled my hair out trying figure out what was wrong with mine. With your A/C turned on, disconect the ground wire from the harness and place a jumper from the header to the inside of the harness if your fan kicks on, the ground is bad. I cut mine just after the wiring harness, spliced a new wire in, run it across to around the battery, there is a gound wire already bolted to the inner fender. Unscrewed it , attach new wire with eyelet attached. Bamm!! After spending much time and money. It was something that cost me nothing to fix. Go Figure

Why did you do that? Why don't you call a technician for an assistant? You will not suffer that one if you do it so.
