heater blowing cool air

all of a sudden my heater blows cool air when turned on. if i turn it on the lowest setting, it'll blow out some warm air until the car reaches operating temp...then its cold air coming out.

What does your temperature gauge on your dash read? I suspect a bad coolant thermostat if it shows low for a long time.
