Radiator cooler lines

Post by my850isbeat »

I am in need of the clips, orings, etc that connect the cooler lines to the radiator. I saw that FCP Groton has them for 19.95 (x2) I have turbo, I just replaced the radiator, and now have an oil leak. My question is anyone bought these at the dealer or are they way more, or even available without the hose? Just debating buying mail order and the wait time that comes with that, or going to the dealer. Its a real bummer to buy a radiator and not even get the hardware to hook it up, but it looks as all manufacturers ship their (volvo) radiators that way.

You can try Darryl Waltrip Volvo at (800) 689-0021, ask for Jamie or Don - Let them know you got their number from the message board and they will give a huge discount.

I show the part numbers as 6842411 for the retainers, 6842414 for the sealing ring, and 6842413 for the O ring - you will need 2 of each. Give them your VIN number and they will double check those numbers for your car.

Thanks for the tip and the part numbers Lee. I like the site, I'll be using it often as this is my first Volvo, and wow does it need some work. Dealer here was like $15.50 for the 3 pieces, but I have 4 cooler lines, 2 trans 2 oil cooler. So that would be $62. I may give Darryl Watrip Volvo a call. :D

The part numbers may be different for the transmission cooler lines - they will look it up and let you know.

By the way, welcome to MVS!
