Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2001 s-80 cel on idles smooth at times surging idle at others.run fine otherwise,autozone shows code P0010 manufacturer control ing.system or misfire and code P1330 camshaft position actuator A bank 1 circuit malfunction.have been told maybe cvvt dealer says there is no cvvt.any help welcomed thanks.

Have you changed the spark plugs? I don't believe the VVT would have anything to do with this, but I think your car probably has it. You can change the camshaft position sensor yourself without too much trouble.

Which engine do you have in your car?

thanks for your input I have a 2.9 non turbo now to top if off I called my daler today and they are out of business as of today.I talked to them friday but guess they did not know.Talked to a dealer in next town 75 miles away and found out the sensor could be 1 of 2 used depending on when car was made. if 1St.part of 2001 its $245 if last part it is $60 big differance.

Have you had the software upgrade done? I just got another recall notice from Volvo saying that my car hasn't been done yet and I need to take it in asap. It's for the Electronic Throttle Module, which may have something to do with the surging problem you're having.
