240 1992 Tried tostart car and nothing & locked in park

I stopped to fill the tank, and when I went to leave I turned the key and nothing, the dash lights didn't go out no starter and the auto trans was locked in park. I have never run into this in the fifteen yrs driving the 240's. The battery is less than 6months old and i'm at a loss?

Try wiggling the key. The electrical portion of the ignition switch wears causing strange electrical faults.
