Used 2005 S80 2.5T What to look out for?

I just bought a used 2005 S80 2.5T with 46k miles and I just wanted a heads up on things to look out for.

I thought a car with "only" 46k miles on it would be like new, but I just had the upper engine mount replaced a few days ago. Anything else to look out for? CV boots, suspension components, anything?

I want the dealer to take care of everything before I'm stuck with a "time bomb."

All of the things you spoke of should be checked (probably before you bought the car).... But now that you own it, for prevention, do the tranny flush (with proper maintenance these will last forever), brake fluid flush, coolant flush and use a turkey baster to pull all of the power steering fluid out of the reservoir and refill with the Volvo stuff (not really too expensive). Also, check the PCV system and have the PTC nipple of that system (attached to the accordion intake hose) cleaned out so as not to have positive crank case pressure in your engine. Basically, all should be good but one never knows. I've done preventative maintenance on our '04 V70 2.5T and it has been extremely reliable with absolutely no issues (except the upper engine mount- like yours) and now it's just under 80K miles. I flushed the tranny at 50K miles and am on a 30K mile schedule now, so next weekend that gets done again (Mobil-3309 fluid). I flushed brake fluid last summer with ATE Blue from http://www.fcpgroton.com (probably a bit late but better late than never) and also plan on flushing the coolant for the second time next weekend (should replace this once every other year). I've put one sets of pads on the rear and two on the front... (all OEM) and I'm due for another set on the front soon- will change the front rotors when I do that- the rear ones won't be that far behind after I get this job done (typically 2 to 1 ratio front to back brakes- but these are very easy to do yourself). Otherwise, we are on our third set of tires (first set on the car- the Michelin's wore out at about 40K miles. Our second set, Bridgestone Turanza (Z's) were bad after about 33K miles. We put on Bridgestone Serenity (also a Z tire) tires back in August and so far so good (if you need tires, check at http://www.tirerack.com).

Oh- one other thing- check your suspension- at about 30K miles I changed out the front sway bar end links for IPD's heavy duty ones as prevention but I also upgraded sway bars (front and back) with their beefier ones... If I had not done the end links then, I would suspect they would be shot by now- if you have any clucking at all from the front end, that's what I would suspect- change them now if this is the case before they drive you nuts- the Volvo OEM end links are known to go out pretty quickly, sometimes at about your mileage.

If you have any other questions that I could possibly answer, don't hesitate in posting them. I know the S80 and V70 are different cars but there are many similarities.
