Hi Guys,
While inspecting my exhaust I noticed that the chassis near where my driver's side control arm is attached is more corroded than I'd like. It hasn't blown through or cracked yet. Has anyone ever reinforced this by welding plates over these areas? I don't want to put it to sleep it, it has a couple, three, four hundred thousand to go yet!
If it is okay to reinforce same I'll also get the Lower Chassis brace from IpdUSA
Lower Chassis Brace
ipd#: 6695
Thanks much in advance,
89 740 control arm/chassis ailment

Kevin,
This is a common repair before things get too bad. Get it done now and worry about it in 20 years time!
