1999 S80 timing belt...
Hello , I recently purchased a mint codition s80 with 116ks. I checked service records to see if timing belt was ever changed-negative! I need to know from someone if the cam locking tools from my 850 turbo can be used ,especially the crank locking tool. I am not familiar with the variable valve mechanism . I am not sure that is in my tt engine. Please anyone out there that has performed this , I could really use the advice. My past experience has been with an 850 turbo head gasket replacement,so I have a rough idea as to what to expect.Thank You

Here is a lengthy thread on cam timing. There are some scans of a Haynes manual in there that show how to do it and how to make the locking tools you will need.
