Hello, all. I'm a Volvo fanatic (esp of the B6304) but my trusty black steed is letting me down. The car makes motions to turn over but either there is a spark issue or a fuel issue. Sounds more like a spark issue.
I read the codes when it first happened last November but nothing seemed to come up as a problem. I have other cars to drive and I'm only now getting around to looking at the car. From reading around, the RPM sensor is apparently one of the first things to replace. What would be next? Thanks.

If the RPM sensor was faulty you would have DTC 2-1-4.
There are many basic checks to perform before you start throwing money at the car:
