Error Code P0012, V70-II (P26)

Post by Guest »

Hi,

I checked my car using the "vehicle explorer" at the OBD-2 Interface.

One error was found

"P0012 Intake Camshaft A Position Timing is over retarded, received from Engine Controller adress $12"

I deleted the message an it did not turn up again.

Any idea what is behind this message?

Thanks

V70-II (P26), model 2002, delivered Nov 2001, 103 kW, 65.000 km

Was this investigation prompted by a check engine light?

If it has been fine since Aug. with no CE light, you might want to just consider it a "random event".
