S40 DL (later learned it was a 940)

I see a Volvo S40 DL for sale and I can't find anything
that designates "DL" can someone please tell me what that means. I think diesel luxury but cannot find a reference for it on an S40 SO what is a S40DL??

I would think basic car...DL = Deluxe Luxury
No diesels in the U.S.

I am in Charlottesville Virginia. Perhaps I can send the Craigslist posting. Look at the badge on the rear. Looks like DL but its hard to see. try this

Looks like it might be 960 SL to me.

Why don't you call and ask him what model it is?

I did'nt call the guy but I am guessing it is a 940 gl or dl.

DO they have the same motors as the 240's?

It's a 92' 940 GL

This is the seller's description in the listing. Some of the engines are the same as the 240.
