How is your Volvo on the autobahn?

Indeed, I didn't even vote in the poll when I saw that the highest range was 100MPH (160KMH)... I do that quite often... despite our lousy roads, it's very easy to pull 160-200KMH. Nor for too long mind you, since the limit on our highways is 100KMH and the police are generally out in full force these days.

The dream summer was several years ago (1998) when the police were on strike and were nowhere to be seen as far as speeding and radar goes. It was easy to cruise at 150-160 and run 200-210 or more without too much stress as far as police radar traps go.

Of course, the government eventually settled with the police force, and these days you would immediately lose your license if pulled over going at 200km/h.

Yep, she did almost 120 mph once on a flat delta straightaway near Sacramento. And she had over 80,000 miles on her then! I miss that car...

Of course, all this was even more fabulous given that the only car I'd ever driven prior to my Volvo was a CHEVETTE. Ha.
