Help my mechanic! It's getting co$tly
260K miles
Just replaced the following:
Fuel Pump,White fuel relay(under pass feet),Crankshaft Sensor,New Starter(burned up the old one trying to crank)
Checked the small red wire from the battery,Got power going to the relay. No power going to #4 fuse on either side and
none to the "Main" fuel pump.
The Car will turn over but won't start. HELP!!!
93 240 no power to fuse # 4 for fuel pump

Do you have the "signal" voltage coming into the relay to tell it to close?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
There is a fuse box in the engine compartment with four fuses coloured pink, yellow, green and blue. The pink fuse (30amp) feeds the fuel injection ecu, the ignition system ecu and the fuel pump relay, all with red wires. Check this fuse.

Is that the one under the glove box?
Also Would you happen to know the exact location of the fuse box under the hood for the items the man below was taking about. He said it might just be a fuse. Cant understand why I have no power to the
# 4 fuse It's dead NO POWER @ All
I've been w/o a car for 5 days HELP!

OK, in the picture below the fuse box is circled in red. You are concerned with fuses 4 and 6 in that fuse box (circled in blue).
Assuming I'm reading the diagrams correctly and that they are the correct diagrams (both big assumptions
), The fuel tank fuel pump (item X in the diagram below, circled in red) is protected by the #4 fuse, which isn't energized until the relay (item F and circled in blue) pulls in. The current for the relay flows through the #6 fuse, so both #4 and #6 need to be intact in order for the fuel pump to work.
In the picture below, the relay, Item F, is circled in blue. Power comes in via the red wire to terminal 30 and goes out to fuse #6 via terminal #87 (yellow and red wires). With the ignition key on there should be power to terminal #15 (black and red wire) to pull the relay in and energize the pump.
