So driving home tonight, a HUGE raccoon ran in front of my car to commit suicide. The irresistable force of a car doing 50 mph won over a 10-15 lb animal. However, the collision smashed the driver's side fog lamp and ripped out the entire assembly that the bulb plugs into and is screwed onto the fog lamp assembly.
After looking up replacements, I am even more confused. Which would be a direct replacement (no modifications) for this fog lamp? Also, what bulb is supposed to be used? Looking online, I see 100W and 55W bulbs? Comparing the bulb that goes into the intact passenger side, it looks like the bulb is a H1 bulb, but I was told that that was the wrong bulb?

According to the owner's manual, it takes and H1 55W bulb (unless you car is an "R").
