Crankshaft position sensor: How do I replace it? 2000 V70

Post by Dovetail »

Last week my father was driving my 2000 V70 non turbo which has 152,000 miles on it. He said he lost most of the power, and the check engine light went on. He made it home safely. Indeed the check engine light was on, and the scanner returned a code for the crankshaft position sensor. The code was cleared, and for the last 5 days it has driven beautifully. I ordered a new sensor, which will come shortly. Any advise on where to find the sensor, and what needs to be removed to get access to it? Thanks in advance for your replys,
Will
