Hello,
I am midway through replacing the mounts, that is the top nuts are off the mounts and the engine is lifted up. The problem is the mounts won't budge. Are there underside nuts to be removed? I couldn't see any and Hayne's doesn't mention any. Perhaps some prying would be appropriate?? Help!
Thanks,
Eric

I don't know if this will help, but this is what VADIS shows for the engine mounts:

Thanks, vegasjetskier. After posting my question I returned to the car and realized that the mounts are attached to brackets which in turn are mounted to the chassis. The brackets must come off in order to reach the underside nut holding the mount to the bracket. The PDF you posted shows such a bracket, although it is different than in my '90 740 wagon.
