What Model # Bilstein TC Struts For A '99 V70 XC AWD?

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

What Model # Bilstein TC Struts For A '99 V70 XC AWD?

Post by 1steven »

:?:Hi will the Bilstein struts model number F4-VNE-4579-BE fit my all wheel drive 1999 Volvo V70 XC AWD? I'm not sure as some Bilsteins are only labeled for FWD. If not, any recommendations? I've read elsewhere that the Monroe Sensatracs are a good value for the money. My tires are 205/65R15 and the rest of the suspension is stock. Also need rear shocks--suggestions? THANKS![/color]

The front is fine with those that say FWD.. Trouble is if you have Nivomats on the back or not (these are self-leveling shocks). If you have Nivomats (most AWD's do), then you'll need the Volvo ones (factory only) and I know of no other substitutes.

THANKS for the reply. Found a set of the TCs for $160 new. Is there a way to tell if the rears are Nivomats without removing them first--like in the VIN or another code anywhere? THANKS!

Nivomats, I believe have plastic sealed covers over the springs...do you see those or are you seeing bare coils?
