ATF flush on 2001 V70 2.4t

Post by dialex »

I have been trying to locate this deep stick for a while now, I read about S40/V40, that it's not easy to see but it is there, what about S60/V70- Do they have a deep stick and where to look for it? I got the hose /kit from IPD, and have the funel with the extension, but can't find the deep stick. Appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Alex

Yeah, it's a pain to find. Here are pictures from my S60. You can see the air box on the second picture. It's on the left side of the car in front of the engine.

Well, Thanks for the pictures, very useful, as I am trying to learn more and more about this new Volvos (P2 platform). Apparently my 2001 V70 2.4t is one of the first 3000 cars according to the chassis number (March 2000 born on date), and instead of a probe it has some sort of a port with a slot like a screw, and I only found it because of the yellow color of your probe.

coments on the pictures are reversed- with the cap is the first, and without the cap last,

Dialex, I also have an 01 V70 T5a, and it looks exactly like the picture velorider posted. It has a clip you have to push to remove the dip stick. I've flushed my system once prior, and this was used to put the fluid back in. Not sure you have found the right thing.
