850 Not starting, no spark . . .

aww, i love the car too much to do anything that rash. but from what i can tell it is once again not getting spark. the plugs are wet when i pull them out though. WTF!

as far as i can tell. there are big ones underneath a plastic panel that needs to be removed with 4 torx screws. i don't know how to determine if they are tripped or not but by eye they don't seem to be compromised.

the plugs are wet when i pull them out though.
Do you have access to a compression gauge? Does the car seem to turn over faster than normal when you hit the key?

Occasionally, after theses engines get flooded, it washes away the oil in the cylinders and the compression drops. The good news is that it is easily fixed by dumping a teaspoon of oil into each cylinder. You need a fully charged battery and you need to keep cranking even as it tries to start. It will sputter for a bit and the smoke cloud will be amazing, don't try this inside the garage.

hrmmm, i'll try it. i have a guy who used to be a euro import mechanic stopping by tuesday so hopefully he will have some bomb insight on my troubles.
