electric motor in fuel door
the electric motor that locks the fuel door will open but not close. i've already taken it out, jumped it off the battery, changed polarity, and jumped it again. it spins both ways. what's the fix?

There is a time delay of about 10 minutes after you lock the car before the fuel door will lock. This is to give you time to fuel the car with doors locked.

The fuel door has two relays in the REM (rear electronic module), one for locking and the other for unlocking. If one fails but not the other latch will either get stuck in open or closed position.
It's in left side of trunk behind the wheel-well panel with catch that turns. You have to unhook the module from another catch on top then rotate it down from top to finally be able to pull it out a little and turn it around to access relays.
