FCP Groton Introduction
Re: FCP Groton Introduction
Here in Brazil so the FCP Groton, I am a loyal customer. I am looking for gray rear mud flaps for my volvo 850 1995.
Volvo 850 2.3 TURBO 1995
Hello Brendan,
I noticed you link is on the top right corner of this forum but I really hesitate to shop/order on line due to security credit card issue, wrong part, hassle shipping back and forth... So I did not really bother until MadeinJapan and orther members' suggestion.
I just put an order close to $300.00 parts from FCP and save about $100 after shipping of $35.00 and currency exchange comparing to local shops.
Your price is very good. How is shipment calculated to Canada. Is that a flat rate of $35.00 or by weight (not much explaination on FCP site)? Is there a minimum shipping charge?
Bring on a discount code or free shipping for an order over certain amount like USA customer at least. I still need some parts.
I am sure all customer's information will be well protected by FCP, right?
Thank you
Nathan

hi Nathan
usualy the commercial sites such as fcp are protected against information leaks,
you can also pay through pay pal, or use a relodable credit card if you want to go safe in more extreme way or if you shop at a unknown merchant...
just be careful to ask if the custom fees are included in the shipping this is very important. i know fcp includes them in shipping cost, but some other stores will have you pay customs at shippement pick up or delivery, thus changing your price.
cheers !

It is a small world, huh?ShamusK wrote:Brendan, what a coincidence. I literally just got off the phone with your store. I'm Purchasing right front axle shaft for my S60 (vibration while accelerating). Decided to got online to see if I could find any tech procedures and stumbled on this site.
I've always bought my VW and Toyota Parts fom FCP Groton and would encourage others to do the same.
Bring on the discount codes, could've used one this afternoon.
I will be sure to strongly announce our upcoming discount codes. Sorry you saw this a little late though! I'm glad to hear that you enjoy coming back to us!
Hello, I just asked the sales guys if they know about that particular part. Some mud flaps for the mid 90's cars are OEM only parts, we CAN get them even if they aren't on the website however you have to call.Fabiano wrote:Here in Brazil so the FCP Groton, I am a loyal customer. Thank you for the post! Our Canadian shipping fees are calculated based off of weight. We take full financial responsibility of getting the part(s) to you by paying all brokerage fees, duties, and taxes.
As far as the website security goes, as an IT guy I can tell you that your privacy online is more secure then at any restaurant you visit. Physically handing your credit card information over to your server, giving them the opportunity to slide the card into an information gathering device, etc - is extremely incrementally dangerous.
Our certified SSL (secure socket layer) certificates have 256-bit encryption capabilities, along with any part of our website's ordering process falling under the https protocol. I would feel more comfortable ordering online, myself.
You concerns are very understandable, however unless you were ordering from a poorly designed and unsecured website while at a large hotspot such as an airport, you can rest assured that your information is safe from peers with ulterior motives.
You can find a link to our website in my signature, and I encourage you to feel safe using it.
Thanks.
Sorry for the late response, but thank you for letting him know that.volvomileage wrote:hi Nathan

G'day from Sth Australia.....Have had excellent service from you guys in the past, was quicker to get a full set of brake pads from FCP than wiper blades from east coast of OZ( I reckon they must have hitchhiked the blades 500 miles). Just waiting for better OZ >US exchange rate and will order a stack of front suspension bits.
cheers....Valvster
