driver mirror

Post by stevepaa »

The driver mirror on my LHD 2004 V70 is a poor design as I have a distinct blind spot. Has anyone replaced the mirror with a wide angle or convex mirror?

I have a T5 wagon and always drive with my driver's side wing mirror set to give me a clear, unimpeded view of the adjacent lane while at the same time the cabin rear vision mirror is set on an angle that allows me to see all the traffic sitting behind me through the tailgate window and any traffic swinging out, or already starting, to overtake me (i.e. the blind spot), is easily seen through the side window behind the rear passenger seat (the luggage area side window). I don't have any trouble with blind spots using this method however, this may not work as well in a sedan because of the different window layout - I don't know.
There are only two types of car owners - those who own Volvos and those who wish they did.
