1995 940 turbo testing fan speed switch

While driving the car with the a/c blowing it will sometimes just stop blowing but can be made to start back blowing by turning the switch. Assuming this is a short in the switch (my guess?) how would you test it for a short. I have a continuity tester. thanks Clay

I am assuming you are turning the blower switch to another position to get it to work. (Never assume it only makes an ass out of u and me). Does this only happen in one switch position or more? What happens if you turn it back to the original position? Does it work or does it remain stopped? Which position is it?

I'm asking more questions than you! :? However, there are several resistors in the system and one of these may be failed or failing.

Bill.
