Re: New Rule

Hi Al, I try not to keep too many things pinned because it pushes new threads down too far.

To get users to "close the loop", I have that reminder in the big READ ME FIRST introductory post, and appearing (randomly) after you post a message. And maybe in board-generated emails like the welcome email, I forget exactly.

I honestly think the percentage of users who let us know the result has gone up over the years. I truly think we're doing pretty good with this, compared to the general level of apathy on internet forums.

Mea culpa. Been guilty, done that, too. My '93 (in the family since November) has a number of issues that are not critical but that I discover from time to time. I have found the forum very helpful a couple of times and am grateful. Other times, I don't get back right away because living self-sufficiently always preoccupied with many things. If the car runs decently I don't get to all the little things needing attention, so I might not get back to the forum right away. I will heed the new rule message if I post a question, I will check back right away and acknowledge any replies, with a hearty. Thanks. I do appreciate you guys.
Again. THANKS for being there.
