S80 T6, 2002, P0135 code

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

S80 T6, 2002, P0135 code

Post by vic3094 »

My S80 T6 has the error code P0135 which I know is an O2 sensor. I just don't know which one and how to get to it.
Is it easy to replace?
Should I use a universal fit one or spend the $$ for the plug in?
Is there a diagram of where I can find it?
How do i reset the check engine light?
The VIN is YV1TS91D68605 if that helps

Unrelated but I think it needs to be done- when does the transmission fluid and filter need to be changed? I went to a jiffy lube for an oil change and they told me the transmission fluid was black although I haven't noticed any problems with it shifting, etc. And, yes, they were checking the other fluids as well and not looking at the oil thinking it was tranny fluid :)

The O2s are a bear to replace. The rears require you to drop the exhaust system. Crappy design.

I'd go OEM on the sensors - some people have had trouble with the generic ones.

Here's some info on the trans fluid and filter: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 11&t=20278
