I just got one of these PPC from BSR. I got it off Ebay for around $195.00 with 20% off thanks to Bing.
It read codes from every possible computer in the car. The codes it read, if I'm interpreting the data correctly, ranged from my alarm being activated and which door was opened, time to change wiper blades, which button wasn't working on my climate panel, Driver door panel locking issue, as well as the dreaded throttle unit.
I reset the codes and the car runs better. It idles smoother (so I think) and it also did something where my seat memory buttons now work. My door locks are fixed also. At this point, I'm very pleased with with diagnostic tool.

Gee. I bought one of those and haven't hooked it up yet. Thought I would just have it in case I needed it. Now I am going to go home and see what it shows, if anything.
Or maybe it will show so many things that I will cry.
