My new to me Volvo xc70 1999

:?Hum, I have a noise ever once in a while--my car's brake area(I think just under the car mostly) at first I was thinking maybe a loose shroud but now it seems to be more of a clicking making a sound like when a card is on a bicycle spoke when the car is coasting when brakes are applied it subsides, the faster the car is going it da dat da dat da dat (faster sound) I work on my own car with my step dad even though he is not a volvo fan he has helped me with the four I have owned, any ideas I keep thinking ABS or viscous sp? clutch does... I tried to buy the manual; however, that year is not available! Thanks just a girl trying to cruise!

Ouch, sounds like the classic early XC axle issues. If you think you can replace it yourself, go for it cause it's not a cheap fix.
