major oil leak from oil cooler

Post by Andyg »

Hi Guys ,
Went out this morning in my 1995 850 T5R and only got 100 yds and my oil light came on . Switched off the engine and got out only to find a heavy trail of oil down the road . After looking under the car I realised that the oil cooler pipe ( Bottom one ) had come away completely draining my oil all over the road . The union has some sort of strange basket like clip that I managed to push back into the Rad but I do dot feel safe leaving it this way . Any ideas what I need to purchase to make this joint secure again ?
Thanks in advance

You need a new retainer clip (part no. 6842411) and possibly a new o-ring (part no. 6842413) for the connection as well.
