Electric seat switch replacement

Post by SMutchnick »

Hi everyone,
Our Volvo dealership informed us that the reason our drivers seat can't be moved at all is because the switch (the part you actually toggle with your fingers in any of the directions) has gone bad and needs replacement. Their quote for parts and labor is ~$550! The part itself is some $300-something of that.

My question is, does anybody know where I might be able to find this switch online? I have looked through the links provided on this site to parts dealers but have not been able to find this switch.

If I were able to locate and purchase the switch at any reasonable price, would the replacement be something I could handle on my own? I would rate myself as a medium-capable tinkerer..

Thank you!
Sean

In the future please don't hesitate to send an email with questions about parts and part numbers. You will get a reply that day. We have the factory blue box switch in stock and offer free shipping if you mention MVS. Part number is 30623409 which is in grey. Im 100% sure you can install this on your own. Have a nice day.

Thank you very much! I must have missed the link to myvolvopartsonline.com as I did not check there originally.

Thanks again,
Sean
